Software that works. No matter who started it.

Built fast with AI — or rescued when your DIY app breaks.

Today, anyone can build software with AI tools. Whether the result actually works comes down to the experience behind it. I bring both together: the speed of AI with 30 years of software engineering.

Where do you stand right now?

I want to build something new

You have an idea for a tool, an app, or an automation — but no developer on your team. First we calmly work out what the result should do and what it will cost. Then I build it in fixed, manageable blocks.

How new builds work

I already have something — and it's struggling

You or an AI tool built software that no longer runs properly, has security gaps, or that nobody understands anymore. First we take an honest look: what works, what doesn't — and what a repair would cost.

How the rescue works

Building new software

AI tools make development faster and cheaper. To make sure the result holds up, I personally review every block — architecture, security, maintainability. You pay a fixed price per block and can pause anytime.

from €490

Project clarification

We discuss your idea, and you receive a plain-language specification plus a binding fixed-price quote. Credited towards your first block.

from €1,500

Prototype

A clickable first impression of your idea — to show, test, and decide.

from €3,500

MVP

The first real version that works: core features complete, securely set up, ready for you to use.

Fixed price per block

Expansion

More blocks as needed: new features, integrations, automations. No subscription, no minimum spend.

Block by block: every block is its own project at a fixed price. In between, you can pause or stop anytime — no notice periods, no pressure.

AI rescue for existing software

You built software with Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Bolt, or a similar tool. It kind of works — until it doesn't. The code behind it is often a mess: security gaps are likely, maintainability is zero. That's exactly what I'm here for.

from €490

Step 1: Code check

I take an honest look at what you have — no jargon. You receive a plain-language report:

  • Security: a review of the most common attack vectors (OWASP Top 10 — the internationally recognized checklist for software security)
  • Maintainability: what happens when you want to change something later?
  • Bugs: what doesn't work as expected — and how critical is it?
  • A concrete plan: what the repair would cost, sorted by priority
The check is fully credited towards a subsequent rescue.

Step 2: AI rescue

Then we fix what's broken: clean, secure, maintainable. You receive a binding fixed-price quote before I start — no surprises on the invoice.

Handover package included

  • The code is 100% yours — including plain-language documentation
  • A setup you understand and can control yourself
  • Optional: light maintenance if the software should keep running

How I work

Whether new build or rescue: a small, fixed entry point — a binding fixed-price quote — a complete handover. Every block follows this pattern.

Fixed prices, no surprises

You receive a binding fixed-price quote before work begins. No timesheets, no renegotiations.

AI speed, senior review

AI tools make me fast. But every block is personally reviewed — with 30 years of experience in architecture, security, and maintainability.

The code is yours

In the end you receive the full source code, the documentation, and every credential. You stay independent — either way.

Honest assessment

If your project would be cheaper or simpler without me, I'll tell you. Even if it costs me a job.

Security from day one

Newly built software is reviewed against the most common attack vectors (OWASP Top 10) before it goes live.

A direct line

You talk to the person who writes your code. No middle layer, no ticket systems.

About me

I'm Achim Hilwers — one developer, not a corporation. I've been building software for over 30 years, from backend services to complete web and mobile applications. You always talk to the person writing your code: me.

30 years leave a mark across many technologies. Feel free to ask — I've probably worked with it.

And if your software was built with something else: even better — I'll get up to speed. What matters is that the code is there.

Easy to reach

I work remotely with clients anywhere: clear communication in plain language, fixed prices, and one person who answers — from the first message to the final handover.

Frequently asked questions

What does a code check cost?

A fixed price from €490. You receive a plain-language report with prioritized recommendations. If you continue straight into a rescue, the check is fully credited.

What if my code is really broken?

Then the code check is exactly right: it tells you honestly whether a repair is worth it or whether starting fresh would be cheaper. Either way is a serious result — no risk for you.

Does the code really belong to me in the end?

Yes. You receive the complete source code, the documentation, and every credential. I keep nothing back — you stay independent.

Do I need to understand the technical terms?

No. You get assessments and quotes in plain language. Technical details only if you explicitly want them.

How fast is this?

AI tools make development significantly faster than the classic way. You receive binding timelines with the fixed-price quote.

Does my software need to be built with a specific technology?

No. Whether it was built with Cursor, Copilot, Bolt, a classic agency, or another developer: what matters is that the code is there. I'll get up to speed — and tell you honestly if a repair isn't worth it.

What happens after the handover?

The software is yours. If you want, I'll keep looking after it — small scale, no subscription pressure. And if you want to do everything yourself, that's fine too.
